Heaven is Here
A creation letter.
In the beginning
We’re fresh off a spark
We play fun games
And make a little art
We’re pure
And we’re clean
And we all still believe
In some kind of dream
As we get bigger
The spark stays in our heart
But less and less people
Play games or make art
Some get good grades
Because they’re real smart
And others know to laugh
When they hear a fart
As I’ve grown old
I’ve seen people change
Even though it’s sunny
They talk about rain
It’s not their fault
Their spark has grown dark
I just wish they’d spend
A little time in the park
So please keep your spark
Close to your heart
Before one day it all
Grows finally dark
Make a little art
Play a fun game
Be like a tree
In the face
Of the rain
Maybe when you’re gone
A tree grows in your place
And your soul flies up
And hangs out in space
With all your good friends
The party never ends
Enjoy your time on Earth
And make your amends
Heaven is here
Amen.
